    AVG will tell you the name of the “threat”

    Put the name of the threat exactly as it was presented to you into Google’s search engine.

    Follow advice given by people who have experience the same problem and never PAY for the advice. It is out there for free.

    You removed the existing anti-virus FIRST
    THEN you surfed the net (unprotected)
    to get the file to download.

    I disagree with that chronological order
    that you presented.
    IMHO
    You should download the install file FIRST, disconnect from the internet, remove existing anti-virus, reboot and install new anti-virus.

    if my avg has found a threat and failed to “block” it, what do i do? Cuz like…. it found a threat and couldn’t block it, and now im kinda scared.
